The Orange Sweeney

šŸŠOrange-you all glad weā€™re halfway through the week? #dadjokes... Iā€™ve got em.

Iā€™ve teamed up with kirkandsweeney to give you my take on a [boozy] childhood favorite (recipe below)! Inspired by the flavor combo of oranges and cream - the 12 year old Kirk and Sweeney rumā€™s bold notes of caramel and and sweet vanilla is just KILLER in this cocktail. Oh and youā€™re probably going to want to make more than one šŸ˜‰



ingredients:

  • 1½ oz 12 Year Dominican Rum

  • 1 oz Dry Curacao

  • ½ oz Heavy Cream

  • ½ oz Demerara Simple Syrup

  • ½ oz Fresh Orange Juice

  • ¼ oz Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 5 Drops Orange/Fig Bitters

  • Fresh Grated Nutmeg

  • Fresh Grated Orange Zest

instructions:

Combine all ingredients in a shaking tin with ice. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Pour and strain over a large tulip filled to the brim with crushed ice. Garnish with fresh grated nutmeg and orange zest, finish with a dehydrated orange wheel. Serve and enjoy!
