Brûlée Caipirinha

An easy twist on classic Caipirinha, saúde!

This is the national drink of Brazil and I don’t want to ruffle any feathers, so…. Want it more traditional? Leave out the lime wedge + torch all together. Want it even easier than that? Don’t worry about shaking it, just stir it like the locals do! Cheers y’all.



 

ingredients:

  • 2 oz | 60 ml Cachaça

  • ½ oz | 15 ml (cut into quarters)

  • 2 tsp Fine Sugar

  • Sugared Lime Wedge (Garnish)

instructions:

Muddle lime wedges and sugar to release the oils and juice from the lime wedges. Then add Cachaça (or a cane sugar rum if you can’t find it). [Stir or] Shake then dirty dump into a rocks glass.
[Optional] Garnish with sugared lime wedge and brûlée the sugar.
