What a day! It was an honor to be a judge for the @bombaysapphireus’s Most Inventive Bartender competition today at @dapschs. Some of the most creative mixologists in the southeast were in Charleston, showcasing some of the most unique cocktails I’ve ever seen. I’ll be posting some of these cocktails over the next few days. First up, Charleston’s own @schenzelwashington with his Forrest Gump inspired cocktail with a bit of peas and carrots.
ingredients:
1½ oz | 45 ml Gin
1½ oz | 45 ml Pea Tarragon Clarification
1 oz | 30 ml Ginjo Genshu Sake
¼ oz | 7.5 ml Cocchi Americano
2 drops saline solution
1 dash Grapefruit Bitters
Garnish: Carrot Foam and Lemon Oil
instructions:
Combine All Ingredients into a shaker tin with the exception of the garnish elements. Shake, be careful not to bruise any of the ingredients, and double strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a spritz of lemon oil and carrot foam.
