Just because #CincoDeMayo is over doesn't mean we're done with Tequila cocktails.
.
If you're wondering about the "glassware" - its from the folks at @tossware, a stylish, 100% recyclable and BPA-free alternative to using those traditional plastic containers. I can see myself using this for cocktails at the beach or pool this summer and as a bonus, they're 100% sustainable as well. This is #notanad - but after trying the product a couple times, I thought it would be a great product to share with y'all. Fun fact: they are NOT dishwasher safe... as my wife and I recently found out :D
THE WORLD’S TINIEST DAIQUIRI 🍹
…lovingly nicknamed a ’Snaquiri’. This was the most requested cocktail for this #TinyCocktail series so I had to oblige. This rendition is made with fresh calamansi juice which is near and dear to my heart (since I am Filipino and all). If you haven’t had calamansi, I describe it as a cross between a bitter orange, lemon and yuzu. The addition of that grapefruit oil adds more of that citrus aroma but is optional.
NOTE: Replace “Parts” with Ounces below to make a full size Daiquiri.
Cheers y’all.
What’s better than a mimosa on Saturday morning? A bitter orange gin and tonic with a side of college football.

I’ve teamed up with my friends at Watkins1868 to create a local twist on a classic. This cocktail utilizes their new Aromatic Bitters which has delicious hints of vanilla, tart cherries and hibiscus. All flavors that meld perfectly with a funky Jamaican rum and fresh sweet black tea. Check out the recipe below, cheers y’all!
introvert but willing to discuss Mai Tai specs.
Here’s my take on a traditional Mai Tai. To me, Wray & Nephew overproof is non-negotiable. It brings that iconic funk that Jamaican rums tend to to lend to tiki cocktails and this one is no exception.
Do you have you own Mai-Tai spec? Whats your take on it?
Cheers y’all.
Who doesn’t love a little spice with their sweet and sour?
Lunar New Year is right around the corner (1/22) and together with hinecognacs, we’ve developed a recipe to celebrate. For this recipe, I’m utilizing ingredients typically found in eastern culture such as sesame and five spice, as well as tapping into the Chinese region of Sichuan to bring a bit more of that spiciness to the party. HINE’s VSOP line offers a delicious and balanced experience from start to finish. You’ll get notes of sweet, sour, savory and spiciness in a glass and it’s perfect for any gathering.
Make sure to grab your bottle from @reservebarspirits (link in stories).
Cheers and happy year of the rabbit!

Oaks Day is just a week away and you know what that means?
What we have here is the Finlandiavodka_us Oaks Lily Cocktail: The Official Drink of the Kentucky Oaks. It’s light, refreshing and the perfect cocktail when you’re dressed to the nines for a bright, sunny day… or maybe just at home in your finest athleisure-wear. Cheers y’all.
🍊Orange-you all glad we’re halfway through the week? #dadjokes... I’ve got em.

I’ve teamed up with kirkandsweeney to give you my take on a [boozy] childhood favorite (recipe below)! Inspired by the flavor combo of oranges and cream - the 12 year old Kirk and Sweeney rum’s bold notes of caramel and and sweet vanilla is just KILLER in this cocktail. Oh and you’re probably going to want to make more than one 😉
If you haven't already... Check out my takeover at the @jackrudycocktailco account! I'm sharing some of my favorite cocktails and maybe even posting a video or two tonight

Together with hennessy I’ve created a recipe worthy of this summer heat called The Summer Spritz. This recipe combines #HennessyVSOP with flavors of elderflower and lemon to create a recipe that is both refreshing and elegant. Enjoy responsibly, cheers y’all!
Yeahhh, you’ll want to make this one 🥭
Mangos are near and dear to my heart just because it was so ubiquitous in the Philippines and I had it almost every day as a child. Whether it was fresh off a tree, or sliced unripened with a side of shrimp paste; I loved it in all its forms. I figured it was only fitting to make a non-alcoholic drink and pair it with Spindrift’s Mango Black Tea. It’s fruity, light and refreshing - hope you give this one a try! Cheers y’all!
TIKI-inspired Boulevardier? Yep.
Together with coopercraft, my good buddy Jordan aka @highproofpreacher and myself have teamed up to create two takes on a Boulevardier. Both recipes will be using similar ingredients in pineapple and sherry but they will be vastly different in flavor and texture but very similar in that they’re both absolutely delicious.
This is my take on a tiki-inspired cross between a Boulevardier and a Jungle Bird. This recipe is both SHAKEN and STIRRED. The initial base is a Boulevardier-riff that combines Oloroso sherry and the 100-proof coopercraft Barrel Reserve to provide something familiar but not overly sweet to compliment the topping (think Garibaldi). This orgeat, salted-pineapple foam is literally the icing on the cake. This topping is shaken to showcase the pineapple’s natural ability to foam when aerated (shaken) providing for light and fluffy top and a strong, complementary base to match. You NEED to make this recipe this week and make sure to head on over to @highproofpreacher to check out his coffee/pineapple riff!
I get my peaches out in SC 🍑
I’ve teamed up with redclayhotsauce to create a spicy peach margarita recipe thats sure to be a summer favorite. Adding their spicy peach honey and spicy margarita salt into the mix provides a balance of sweet, savory, spicy and sour to this already delicious recipe, check it out below!
The atomized mezcal is 🔑
Sharing a recipe I created for the menu over at the new bar at claytonandcrume last month. Think of it like an elevated margarita. If you’re ever in Louisville, make sure to stop by the flagship store and let the talented @itslesliebryan make it for you! Happy Friday y’all.
