Jasmine Old Fashioned

We can never have enough Old Fashioned recipes, amirite? 🥃

Together with my friends at @redemptionwhiskey, we’re going to make a jasmine-inspired Old Fashioned using the latest release Redemption Sur Lee. This whiskey provides some notes of walnut, jasmine and finishes with a unique umami note which ties together all the ingredients in this cocktail. It’s great neat or on the rocks, but also versatile enough to hold its own in a spirits forward cocktail like this old fashioned.

Cheers y’all!

It feels to get back to playing around with some basic cocktails but also playing around with some new video styles. I’m going to start to make a new Reel series and I’m trying to land on the format, would love to hear y’alls thoughts on this style (look/feel, music, voiceover, titles, etc). Let me know what else you’d want to see.

Jumbo Old Fashioned

Anyone know where to get jumbo sized cherries? Asking for this jumbo-sized Old Fashioned 🍒😂

This may or may not be an #aprilfools joke but this is a great recipe for a BATCHED Old Fashioned. Just mix the ingredients below with ice and strain into a serving vessel of your choice. If you’re serving for a later date, add 4 oz of filtered water and throw that bottle/container in the fridge or freezer until you’re ready to serve. Serve over a large ice cube and garnish with an orange twist and maraschino cherry (optional).

Disclaimer: Please drink responsibly and don’t try to drink this entire thing by yourself in one sitting.

Panela old Fashioned

The holidays always remind of the fall/winter flavors and spices that go into everything we eat and imbibe during the season. I recently #partnered up with 1792 bourbon to create a custom cocktail that will tie in all these flavors into a simple cocktail… Can you keep a secret? It has to do with the spiced panela syrup. Infused with flavors that remind me of fall and winter, it ties in well with 1792 Bourbon due to the bourbon’s high-rye content and spice-rich notes, alongside vanilla and caramel. Check out the recipe below and let me know what cocktail reminds you of the holidays! #1792 and #1792Bourbon

Globetrotter🌎

Ok, so I’ll admit I was a big btparsons fan before, but I had the honor of taking his Amaro class at BenConCHS and was completely blown away. Luckily, Charleston, SC was a stop on his ‘Amaro’ book tour and I had the opportunity to pick his brain (again) at @edmundsoast while he was in town. He was knowledgeable, down-to-earth and one of the coolest authors I’ve had the honor of meeting. This cocktail recipe is a from his book ‘Amaro’ — definitely worth the pickup, even if its not personally signed like my copy 😉

Charente Crusta

This recipe will take you straight to France 🇫🇷

We were recently invited by our friends at @hinecognacs to visit the Cognac region of France and stay at the incredible Hine House along the Charente river. This amazing experience really opened our eyes to how much time and care goes into each and every bottle of cognac produced there. From the champagne grapes to the barrel they’re aged in, each and every bottle is meticulously cared for. This cocktail is an homage to one of the cognacs we were able to sample during our stay. We were able to take part in tasting any of the Vintage collection which spans for decades, each offering was unique and tasty. The particular one that caught my fancy was bottled in 1986 (my birth year), and I remember it having an apricot forward flavor profile that became the inspiration for a twist on this traditional cocktail.

Of course I was not going to use the 1986 vintage for this cocktail so, this particular recipe was created with HINE Cognac’s H by HINE V.S.O.P. (aged 4 years), which brings a rich, full bodied base to this already wonderful recipe. Make sure to check out the full specs below. Cheers y’all!
