🎅🏻🎄 MERRY CHRISTMAS! I’ve been wanting to smoke a Holiday themed cocktail for a while now and I think I found the perfect vessel for it. I saw this at @target and immediately thought it was for smoking my cocktails… is that weird? Anyone know what this is really for? …either way it doesn’t matter because this drink ended up being delicious.

We’re here in Palm Desert, CA with my friends at almaveto create a non-alcoholic riff on a Carajillo. This recipe utilizes their Ambar, which is their agave-based spiritless ‘blue agave spirit’. Similar to tequila, #Almave is made from the same blue agave but skips the fermentation process where the liquid becomes alcohol. In addition to the notes of chocolate and orange, Almave adds the rich agave flavors that pair perfectly with this cocktail. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
Cheers y’all.
Home for the holidays?
Doesn’t matter because you’ll be wanting to make this recipe wherever you are. I made this because I was looking for a festive Boulevardier alternative and think this was it. Let me know what yall think!
I’m over here swiping ingredients from other creators 😬
Since I wrapped earlier this morning I figured I’d make an easy ranch water sourced from one of their ingredients and of course Chantelle (@she_thebartender) was generous enough (she’s from Utah - makes total sense) to lend me her charred orange from her Cinnamon Charred Orange Margarita (coming soon!). In the meantime, check out this easy Ranch Water recipe for your next pool party.
Cheers y’all.
Did you hear? Its #WorldCocktailDay!

I had an opportunity to receive a bottle of a unique California Brandy by @jeffreymbell (@pdthongkong)and @thomaspastuszak(@thenomadhotel) - two very well known names in the cocktail/wine/spirits industry. Bertoux Brandy (@bertouxbrandy) is meant to be as sippable as it is perfect for any cocktail - So I figured, why not try a riff on a classic Brandy cocktail - The Sidecar!
…and a partridge in a pear tree.
Happy holiday season y’all. Together with my friends at bruichladdich I’ve created a take on the classic Rob Roy. This takes The Classic Laddie, an unpeated scotch whisky, and combines it with the flavors of spiced pear and walnut to create a cocktail that is easy, delicious, and beautiful. Anyone can make this recipe, so make sure to give the gift of The Classic Laddie this holiday season by heading to the link in my bio!
Hey you! Looking for that crushable fall/winter cocktail?
Together with my friends at Watkins1868, I’ve created a bitter twist on a whiskey sour which uses their new all-natural Orange Bitters which have rich and warm notes of citrus, clove and cinnamon. I thought these flavor profiles would pair well with the season and would be perfect for sipping this fall and winter.
Let's be honest... luxardousa maraschino cherries are like the icing on a bourbon cocktail cake 🍒🍸

I’m happy to bring you one of the most unique recipes from the Copper Bar the @patron Hacienda last week. We liked it so much, both @highproofpreacher and I posted about it without even coordinating haha Thanks to our dude @gingerbartender for providing the recipe!

A little background: The Charreada is a rodeo-like tradition dating back to the arrival of Spanish horsemanship to Mexico in the 16th century. Once a competition between Haciendas, it is now performed by teams of professional charros and is an important touchstone of Mexican culture. So there’s your fun fact for the day - now get out there and enjoy this day respectfully and responsibly, salud!
Found some inspiration in right place. Check out "SPRITZ" by @taliabaiocchi of punchdrink and @lesliepariseau of @saveurmag for some great Italian food and spritz recipes. Cheers to the long weekend! 🍹🙌🏾
Read MoreWell’p, if y’all have been following along, you know that two of my favorite things are a stiff Boulevardier and coming up with twists on a classic. This one is no different, the herbal notes of Chartreuse with the addition of grapefruit bitters takes the place of Campari in a funky yet delicious variation. Give it a shot.

Yes I know it feels like 🔥 in Charleston this summer so I made y’all a recipe to help you cool down. It is Spritz season after all 😉
Read More🥃🔥 Looking for another why to smoke cocktails? Look no further than The Char Board from Whiskeywood. They recently sent this over to me to try out and I’m blown away at its portability, effectiveness and especially that depth of smokey flavor it gives to your cocktail. The three ‘flavors’ of wood include: ‘Apple Orchard’, ‘Peanut Butter and Chocolate’ and my favorite so far, ‘Grandma’s Cookies’ — that being said, this cocktail is named after my grandmother, Mona. I think you can guess which smoke stick I picked.
Read MoreEver heard of Kintsugi?
Kintsugi (金継ぎ, “golden joinery”) is the art of joining together broken pieces with molten gold to provide one beautiful and cohesive piece. While this is often used to describe pottery, today we’re using it to describe this Negroni riff with my friends at 135eastgin. Their Hyōgo dry gin is meticulously crafted and works perfectly in this recipe while the slight salinity from the sweet soy balances with the bitterness from the aperitif. I really enjoyed this one and hope you do too!
What to do with fresh figs? I’ve got you covered. I recently had an opportunity to #partner up with unclevals to create a summer cocktail using their Botanical Gin - made with juniper, cucumber, lemon, sage and lavender. Its perfect for any summer sipper like a traditional Collins so why not incorporate some fresh figs 🙌🏾 Cheers y’all!
Read MoreIs this the perfect after-dinner cocktail?
Here’s a recipe from the late 1880s that I love because there aren’t enough sherry cocktails in the world. The Adonis is equal parts Fino sherry and sweet vermouth. It’s rich, fruity and not overly heavy, all these fortified wines act like a digestivo, which makes for a perfect after-dinner cocktail.
Ok, so I’ll admit I was a big btparsons fan before, but I had the honor of taking his Amaro class at BenConCHS and was completely blown away. Luckily, Charleston, SC was a stop on his ‘Amaro’ book tour and I had the opportunity to pick his brain (again) at @edmundsoast while he was in town. He was knowledgeable, down-to-earth and one of the coolest authors I’ve had the honor of meeting. This cocktail recipe is a from his book ‘Amaro’ — definitely worth the pickup, even if its not personally signed like my copy 😉
