Oolong Island Negroni

Up next on Charleston's tour of #NegroniWeek with @campari_southcarolina is my buddy Jimmy Chmielewski (@jimmy_withthe_goodhair) at @thearcher with his take on a recipe thats a Negroni that drinks like a spritz, check it out below. "We really wanted to showcase some of the less conventional ingredients or techniques that we're utilizing at The Archer. The coconut and milk oolong tea really give the Campari a sort of bitter fruit loop flavor and a much more velvety mouthful. We also stand by the belief that most things are better carbonated and a negroni is no different. The force carbonation makes a boozy sipper feel like a light and fizzy Spritz. In terms of the thought process of the ingredients, toasted coconut screams tiki, so we really wanted to lean into that flavor profile (hence, banana and rum) without getting too far away from what a negroni truly tastes "

Cucumber Negroni Sbagliato

As if the Negroni Sbagliato couldn’t get more refreshing 🥒

Together with my friends over at @empress1908gin, we made a refreshing Negroni Sbagliato riff inspired by the ingredients in their Cucumber Lemon Gin. The brightness of the lemon and refreshing/vegetal aspects of the cucumber play perfectly well with the ‘Bianco’ version of this classic cocktail.

Mom's Flowers

Your mom deserves her flowers (and wine, mostly wine).

Today we’re doing wine cocktails with my friends at @bonterra. Wine cocktails may seem redundant but it’s actually a great way to enjoy a lower-ABV cocktail experience (in moderation, obviously). This recipe is no exception, to celebrate spring and #MothersDay, this recipe uses Bonterra’s Sauvignon Blanc, which is carefully made with certified organic grapes. Think of this recipe as a cross between a Spritz and a Pimms Cup. Its finished with edible flowers to compliment the wine and fresh fruit in the cocktail.

Cheers y’all!

Mango Royale

Yeahhh, you’ll want to make this one 🥭

Mangos are near and dear to my heart just because it was so ubiquitous in the Philippines and I had it almost every day as a child. Whether it was fresh off a tree, or sliced unripened with a side of shrimp paste; I loved it in all its forms. I figured it was only fitting to make a non-alcoholic drink and pair it with Spindrift’s Mango Black Tea. It’s fruity, light and refreshing - hope you give this one a try! Cheers y’all!

Koru Shrub

You know what they say about an apple a day… Yeah you know the rest, I create a great winter cocktail using fresh Koru apples from New York. If you’ve never heard of the Koru variety of apples, they are crisp, extremely sweet, juicy and most importantly, sustainable - making them the perfect apple to use for this season. The cool part about these apples is they’re slow to brown so they’re perfect for garnishing your cocktail, as well as using it as the main ingredient. Hope y’all try this recipe it out, it’s one of our favs. Cheers y’all!
