No tragedies here, call it a Greek Revival…
Together with axiaspirit, we’ve created a recipe with Greek roots. This unique, ancient spirit is made with mastic resin harvested from the mastiha tree and contains only 0.5% sugar - resulting in an extra dry, crystal clear liquid. Axia has notes of cypress, rose and citrus which pairs delicately with the other vermouth and orange liqueur in this recipe, providing a well balanced, aromatic cocktail that will be a perfect for any occasion this summer.
Another highlight of Mountain Weekend was bartacolife in Asheville, NC coming in hot (literally) with street tacos and cocktails next to their wood burning fireplace — we managed to try almost their entire cocktail menu.

Here’s a recipe from the late 1880s that I love because there aren’t enough sherry cocktails in the world. The Adonis is equal parts Fino sherry and sweet vermouth. It’s rich, fruity and not overly heavy, all these fortified wines act like a digestivo, which makes for a perfect after-dinner cocktail.
Pisco is such an underrated spirit. Usually produced in Peru or Chile, its distilled from fermented grapes (about 16lbs per 750ml bottle, in fact). @barsolpisco in particular is produced using Torontel grapes and has floral notes of jasmine and magnolia -- perfect for this recipe!
Read MoreThe holidays always remind of the fall/winter flavors and spices that go into everything we eat and imbibe during the season. I recently #partnered up with 1792 bourbon to create a custom cocktail that will tie in all these flavors into a simple cocktail… Can you keep a secret? It has to do with the spiced panela syrup. Infused with flavors that remind me of fall and winter, it ties in well with 1792 Bourbon due to the bourbon’s high-rye content and spice-rich notes, alongside vanilla and caramel. Check out the recipe below and let me know what cocktail reminds you of the holidays! #1792 and #1792Bourbon

If you’re not familiar with #GranGala, it’s a blend of Italian VSOP brandy infused with fresh oranges. I figured this would pair really well with the floral aspect of rosebud tea, zestiness from fresh squeezed lemon and bring it all together with a rich coconut cream. Check out the recipe below or check out the link in the bio!

Next up on the #NegroniWeek tour of Charleston with our #partners campariusa and imbibe is one of my favorite places in the city... @gin_joint!
.
Their Negroni variant called 'The Shaman' figuratively and literally required them to PLAY WITH FIRE 🔥and left the bar patrons ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the process. Mixologist @james_b0lt used a table-top siphon (typically used for coffee) to heat the Campari enough to siphon into the upper chamber filled with a "Tropical Teapot" of various citrus and spices (ingredients below). The resulting infusion was then mixed with a floral vermouth, barrel aged gin and black lemon bitters, making for not only one of the most unique Negronis we've ever seen or tasted, but an amazing visual experience as well. Needless to say, multiple 'Shaman' Negronis were ordered that night.

To top all of this off, the friendly folks at @gin_joint are supporting @lcfoodbank this week.
🎅🏻🎄 MERRY CHRISTMAS! I’ve been wanting to smoke a Holiday themed cocktail for a while now and I think I found the perfect vessel for it. I saw this at @target and immediately thought it was for smoking my cocktails… is that weird? Anyone know what this is really for? …either way it doesn’t matter because this drink ended up being delicious.

HandcraftAfterDark | Episode 3: White Venetian
I’m a sucker for a Negroni with a couple dashes of saline but have you ever tried it with olive brine? Its a match made in heaven.
Here’s the third episode of Handcraft After Dark. In this series, I’ll feature some of my favorite night caps and maybe even some recipes that YOU recommend. Here’s the catch: they always have to be stirred and must contain 4 or less ingredients (not including the garnish).
This video series will be no-frills, quick, easy, and straightforward recipes that you can make in less than 5 minutes. Have a favorite recipe that fits the description above? Let me know in the comments section.
We found the perfect cocktail to kick off the weekend.
Charleston-based photographer and mixologist Miguel Buencamino of Holy City Handcraft (@holycityhandcraft) whipped up a jumbo Manhattan cocktail, complete with a giant “cherry,“ at the @gardenandgun offices. The recipe below provides 20-25 servings of this classic cocktail and can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge or freezer. Cheers and happy Friday! 🥃
Please note: This is a great way to enjoy a batched cocktail to share with friends, but we don’t recommend consuming alone.
The Negroni Sbagliato - now there’s a drink fit for a 🐉 Queen…
What can I say, this cocktail is having its moment in the sun thanks to the @livkatecooke (Alicent Hightower) and emmaziadarcy (Rhaenyra Targaryen) interview for @hbomax and @gameofthrones.
This drink may be going ‘viral’ at the moment but this recipe has been around since 1972 and was created at Bar Basso in Milan by Mirko Stocchetto. I’m not mad about it though, I always said this was my go-to brunch drink and I’d take it over any mimosa any day of the week. Cheers y’all!
When your Negroni is as clear as the ice 🥶🧊
Happy Wednesday y’all! Here is that #BiancoNegroni created with Luxardo’s Bitter Bianco. If you’ve never had it, its has notes of bitter citrus and a bright/fruity finish. It’s the perfect accompaniment to a London dry gin like juniperogin. Hope y’all enjoy this recipe as much as I did. Cheers y’all!
If you love espressos + whiskey, this one is for you.
Y’all know alllll about the Espresso Martini, well what if we combined that with one of the classics in a rye Manhattan, well this is that cocktail and with the addition of salted caramel syrup. this one is absolutely delicious.
Cue the slow jams, you’ll be wanting to make this #ValentinesDay inspired Negroni-riff TONIGHT.
The strawberry infused Campari brings that strawberry flavor to the party and complements the fruity notes of this smooth Reposado. Combined with Creme de Cacao and a touch of sea salt, this cocktail provides you a salted, dark chocolate-covered strawberry…. in a glass. Your partner will thank you… you’re welcome <3
Chocolate cookie + single malt whiskey? Yup, I’ve got you covered.
Together with stranahans, I’ve created a seasonal recipe made with their new Blue Peak American Single Malt Whiskey. This Manhattan riff features all the flavors of this single malt, paired with a biscotti cookie and cocoa bitters, making for an easy and well balanced sipper. Cheers y’all!
