The Plainview Sour

Hey you! Looking for that crushable fall/winter cocktail?

Together with my friends at Watkins1868, I’ve created a bitter twist on a whiskey sour which uses their new all-natural Orange Bitters which have rich and warm notes of citrus, clove and cinnamon. I thought these flavor profiles would pair well with the season and would be perfect for sipping this fall and winter.

Mare-ly Perfect Ride

Mare-ly Perfect Ride by Caroline Woodruff
This idea comes from a Paddock, which is an area for horses to graze in after a big day.  I wanted to really show off saddled leather and grassy notes from a split of dry vermouth for my take on a Boulevardier.  It’s easily one of my favorite cocktails to have many adaptations of, this one is a bit lighter, while the bitters let it run in a different strong direction.

A Negroni for people who have had too many Negronis…”

You heard the man! Up next on Charleston’s tour of #NegroniWeek with campari south carolina is my buddy Kyle Degolyer (@cousinkyled) at @barmashchs with his vegetal take on a classic.

This recipe combines the smokiness of mezcal and combines them with the vegetal flavor profiles of bell pepper, Ancho Reyes and celery bitters.

Don’t forget you can grab this cocktail this week! Cheers y’all!

“A lighter rendition of the classic, the Alive and Well is more of an “orange” Negroni. aromatic, floral, herbaceous, and slightly fruity backed with Campari’s signature bitterness; it’s a fun, late-summer sipper.”

Don’t forget you can grab this cocktail at @beautiful_south__ this week! Cheers y’all!

The Clover Club

Is this the official cocktail of #ValentinesDay? ❤️‍🔥

I love me a good classic cocktail and also love that this one is making a resurgence considering the recipe dates back to the late 1800s. All the flavors here play so well together, the brightness of the lemon, fruitiness of the raspberries and texture of the egg white is rounded out by the ever classic fordsgin. If you haven’t made it before, tonight seems like a great night to do so. Oh and maybe you should make two 😘

Let’s put that pineapple demerara syrup to good use.

Figured its been a while since I’ve flexed the R&D muscle and what better way to kickstart it by using my buddy Jordan’s super easy pineapple Demerara syrup (check out his reel in the stories). This recipe was an easy one to make and right up my alley… and probably yours too.

Also - Trying a new format for Reels, let me know what y’all think!
(Yes, I know I need a new microphone.)

Mint Syrup

I hear there’s some sort of 🐎 race tomorrow and a certain cocktail *cough* mint julep *cough* that requires mint syrup. Let me show you how easy that is to make.

Stay tuned later today so I can show you how to make the easiest julep you’ve ever made. Just in time for Derby Day!

Rosita

Alright you heard the man.

If you’re not familiar, the Rosita is a Gaz modern classic in the same family as the Negroni. It’s lighter and more delicate, using tequila as the base spirit. If you’re a fan of Negronis or the bitter sweet flavor profile, you’re going to love this one.

Cheers y’all.
