Coquito Colada

It’s #NationalCoquitoDay tomorrow so let’s get you prepared! #ad

Wh
at happens when you combine TWO of Puerto Rico’s most iconic cocktails? The Piña Colada is arguably Puerto Rico’s most famous contribution to the cocktail world. Created sometime during the 1950s, its exact origins are often debated. But we’d all be remiss if the infamous Coquito didn’t enter the conversation, which origin is ubiquitous with Puerto Rican culture - after all, there’s an entire DAY dedicated to this iconic drink. I think we can all agree the best version is made with Puerto Rico’s legendary rum, Ron del Barrilito.

Cheers y’all.

The Strangest Thing

What better way to combine two things I love (craft cocktails and @strangerthingstv) than the #StrangerThingsAB cocktail contest held by my dudes @apartment_bartender and @keifermadness. Inspiration comes from THE UPSIDE DOWN and a bit of that fall flavor all is basic girls love 💁🏻
.
Cheers y’all, make sure to tune into Season 2 of Stranger Things on @netflix TOMORROW!

Pomme Brulee Old Fashioned

It’s about time we brûlée some apples for an Old Fashioned.

We created an Old Fashioned thats sure to please this season. Flavors of cinnamon, caramelized sugar and apples play together perfectly with Rabbit Hole’s Dareringer bourbon, which is finished with PX sherry casks and has notes of oak, dried fruit and caramel.

This is one you need to make.

Cheers y’all!

Frozen Honey Painkiller

Who needs fireworks anyway? 🔥

Happy #FourthOfJuly friends! Got a confession - frozen tiki drinks are a guilty pleasure of mine, but who doesn’t love them, amirite? This one is a little more involved but I promise it’s well worth it. The recipe below is for 2 servings, but feel free to scale up at your leisure :)

This one combines 3 types of rum with some pineapple and coconut with a little cinnamon fire for dramatic effect… oh and it’s definitely not a regular Painkiller™ ;)

Cheers y’all!

Cinnamon Toast Milk Punch

Let’s try this again, shall we? 🥣

Cinnamon Toast Crunch… but make it drinkable.

Who doesn’t love CTC?? I figured it would be fun to try to recreate it into cocktail. I’m going to make two versions and this is the first rendition - a traditional milk punch with actual cream. The addition of biscotti liqueur here adds that sweet bread flavor that you typically get from French toast so I figured it would be fitting… and guess it what, it actually works. Give this one a try…

Anyone have any guesses on the second version of this cocktail??

The Firestorm

Ooooo… it’s #spookyszn and we’ve got a doozy for you.

We created a recipe thats perfect not just for #halloween2022 but the rest of the holiday season as well. Using QMixers delicious and well-balanced ginger beer along with some black rum, this riff on a classic has a secret weapon in the homemade pumpkin spice tincture (recipe below). The cinnamon and fire bring just another complex element to this cocktail but it is entirely optional. Cheers y’all!

Wintered Amaro Sour

Let’s keep those seasonal cocktails going, shall we?

Together with amarolucano1894, I’ve created a recipe thats sure to warm you right up in the coldest of nights. The recipe combines bourbon, cinnamon syrup, lemon juice and the bold flavors in Amaro Lucano to create a wonderfully balanced flavor that is softened by an egg white (or aquafaba) foam. This one was a treat to make and drink and hope you’ll do the same. Cheers y’all.

The Partridge

How about a cozy winter cocktail for this Friday Eve?

I’m excited this new year to create a cocktail recipe featuring this unique whiskey. If you’re unfamiliar with Legent, it starts as a Kentucky Straight Bourbon with the Beam classic family recipe and is aged in wine and sherry casks before being blended with more Kentucky Straight Bourbon by Shinji Fukuyo, fifth-ever Chief Blender of Suntory, the founding house of Japanese whisky. The result is a perfectly balanced yet complex and layered whiskey with a bright, smooth, unexpectedly long finish.

The good news for y’all is that you can get it NOW on via www.drizly.com! Check out my stories for the link. Hope y’all enjoy this recipe as much as I did.
