What better combo than an Irish Whiskey with notes of light notes of oak, vanilla and caramel to pair with coffee, chocolate and mint for my take on a traditional Grasshopper cocktail. I really enjoyed making this one and hope y’all try it out!

Read MoreFall is officially here, so how does a peanut butter, banana, hazelnut, coffee and chocolate cocktail sound to you?
Well, you’re in luck. I’ve teamed up with screwballwhiskey to create a cocktail thats somewhere between a chocolate egg cream and a bourbon fizz. The secret is in the banana, hazelnut-infused cold brew amaro created by my talented friend @schenzelwashington. Its constructed by steeping coffee grounds with banana liqueur, hazelnut extract and amaro for 6-12 hours then fine straining into a vessel of your choice. I can’t think of a more perfect accompaniment to the flavors in peanut butter.
I wanted to follow the basic Boulevardier recipe, but create a tropical flair. The coconut-infused aperitif takes the bitter component and just rounds it out with a little sweetness and richness. The [Pimm's] replaces sweet vermouth, by pulling away some of those herbal notes, and replacing them with dried fruit flavors.
Read MoreThis is recipe is made with a unique spirit I received this recently called Trakal which is made in Patagonia with native ingredients. They use local apple and pear varietals to create the base alcohol and work with local communities to hand-pick seven native herbs and four native berries. Figured why not add more fruit and make a tiki-style cocktail and this one worked out perfectly.

Up next on the #BartendersAndBoulevardiers series with @cooperscraft is Michael Leslie (@mikeyveo) with a Boulevardier riff that accentuates some of the natural honey notes inherited from the unique Coopers’ Craft barrels by incorporating local honey into the recipe. Michael was also kind enough to lend us a few words that inspired his recipe:
“Once there was a bee who flew up beside me and said,
‘Hey man, let me show you something.’
With a sweet honey pass and a dip in my glass I knew that little bee wouldn’t sting”
I was inspired to make y’all a cross between a New York Sour and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich… and its sooo good. I’m using cognac and a rich red wine to accentuate the grape notes which play in harmony with the peanut butter flavor in Skrewball. Try this out and let me know what y’all think!
